Spring is back in town. Amphibians, reptiles, insects and plants are all awaking. It’s a real feast to walk in nature. And a feast it was for me to crawl through the dewy grass on a early morning with first light in a natural area near my hometown Nijmegen. A wonderful world where it seemed that many lights were lit. Party lights!

A few weeks in March there was a special phenomenon to observe in a district of Utrecht. Tens of thousands of common starlings gathered in the air and transformed by the presence of peregrine falcons into many forms. Nature can touch your soul and for me this was such a moment.
With some imagination you can discover all kinds of objects in these forms. Even one of my favorite subjects, the toadstool, flew by for a short moment.
