For the fourth year in a row I received an award in the International Nature Compition ASFERICO. The image of ice-bells has been highly commended in the category “composition and form’. Winter 2009/2010 was just perfect with lots of snow and also periods with beautiful ice patterns. The meadow beside the river Waal was flooded and the water was frozen. Just before sunset I found some ice-chunks white some frozen air bubbles. I just put one of the ice-parts upright to capture the last sunlight in the ice. When I looked through the viewfinder of the camera it looked like I peered into the universe.
